Take time to consider your email strategies!
We primarily work with start-ups and small businesses and know that many of their email campaigns are unsuccessful. Before you lift a finger to email your prospects, consider how many emails you receive on a daily basis. How many of those emails do you actually open, read completely and actually respond to. Therefore, it stands to reason that the people you are trying to email do exactly the same.
Besides all of that, everybody understands the need for good email filters these days so you don’t want your emails classed as spam either. Let’s face it, spam is an ever-present problem for most businesses and individuals.
Show your value to the right person.
If you have done your research correctly, you will have identified your ideal customer’s persona. Long gone are the days when adding just the first name of the receiver was enough to grab their attention.
Nobody wants to read an essay so make sure that you keep your email short and come to the point quickly. Tell them what you are offering but more importantly how it’s going to help them.
Don’t give your customer a headache give them a solution.
Your prospected customer will know you’re going to provide them with exactly the solutions they require. So, don’t get too spammy by bombarding them with multiple call-to-actions or email them every day because that’s just bad for business. Always allow a couple of days before sending any kind of follow up email but again don’t be too pushy and risk being sent to the trash bin.
Make sure you add all of your contact information in the email signature. It’s a great way to provide your prospective customers with enough info so they can Google you and find out more details. Always remember quality is better than quantity so ensure that you:- Don’t get too spammy..
